Your Summer Will Be All Good With This Sunscreen
Michigan may have gotten off to a late start with Summer, but now it is in full swing! The clouds have dissipated and the sun is on full blast. You know what that means! SPF, SPF, SPF! Taking care of your skin and protecting it from harmful UVA rays is especially necessary since we are so often outside during this time of the year enjoying the weather.
However, I have found that finding a suitable sunscreen with oily and acne-prone skin to be difficult. A lot of popular sunscreens that can be found at drug stores, Meijer, Target, or Ulta break me out, causing painful under the skin bumps all over my body. So, when I got the All Good SPF 30 Sport Sunscreen in my Summer 2019
This sunscreen goes on evenly, spreading out on skin without leaving an annoying white cast. Once on, this physical sunscreen starts working unlike chemical counterparts. I can also vouch that this sunscreen is going to last you a while because it is water and sweat resistant for up to 80 minutes.
And of course, my favorite part about this sunscreen is that it is a non-greasy, lightweight formula that works well with my skin type. I am not sure what it is exactly about this product that makes it so conducive to my skin type, but it definitely lies in the ingredients. In this formulation, you will find organic green tea, rose hips, Buriti oil, aloe, shea butter, coconut oil, sunflower seed oil, raspberry seed oil, cocoa seed butter, and All Good’s signature calendula. If you purchase this product, you might also notice that this sunscreen has a distinct smell about it. It is not the typical smell sunscreen has become known for, and I can’t say that I am familiar with the scent either. It’s not a bad scent, but if I had to associate it with anything it would be seedy, like it smells like seeds (insert shrug emoji here).
Another thing I am becoming increasingly passionate about is the story behind a brand. For those of you who don’t know, All Good was founded in 1997 by Caroline Duell who started off with one healing salve made with farm-grown calendula. She gave it out to friends, then local businesses, and then finally created All Good and has expanded her product line.
One of the last things you should know about All Good is that when you buy and use All Good sunscreen you are not only protecting your skin, but you are also defending our reefs from dangerous coral bleaching. A lot of sunscreens today do affect the health of marine life, so by choosing a reef-safe product you are taking a stance to protect ecosystems in our oceans and their inhabitants.
