Unboxing My Spring 2019 CAUSEBOX
Over the years subscription boxes have taken off in popularity and their offerings. There is quite literally a box for everything! Want clean beauty? There’s a box for that. Into Japanese snacks? There’s a box for that. Want exclusive sports team merch? You bet there is at least one for that too. How about one that encompasses lifestyle, beauty, and fashion, while supporting women entrepreneurs and being socially conscious? I’ve got you. Allow me to introduce you to
CAUSEBOX started in 2018 with the simple mission to support brands and give back. Behind each full-size product there is a story and a founder, and CAUSEBOX introduces you to both, thus connecting you to new brands and women entrepreneurs each season.
In each box, you can expect jewelry, housewares, skincare, accessories, valued at over $200 for $49.95. Some products are even exclusive collaborations between the brand and
First up from Marina De Buchi is this dainty gold-plated bracelet. Marina De Buchi, the woman behind the eponymous brand, actively gives back to her charity partner A21. A21 stands to abolish slavery in the 21st century, and through every online purchase of Marina’s beautiful jewelry, 10% is donated to them. Not only is Marina’s jewelry gorgeous, but her products also have such a meaningful purpose.
Included in the box is this full-size Kálos Mist Congeniality Elixir Toning Mist. First of all, I love the name of this product – it’s so clever! Secondly, Kálos’ founder, Nadia Babar, donates a portion of every purchase to girl’s education projects around the world. Thirdly, this rosewater mist smells heavenly! It’s a delicate fragrance mixed with rose, aloe, chamomile, and witch hazel. Those four ingredients work well together to tone and hydrate. I have loved using this product so far, and I can see myself spritzing this all over my face on hot Summer days…if they ever come to Michigan.
This Cosmedix Glow Bamboo Brightening Mask is ahhh-mazing! Cosmedix is an effective clean skincare brand. Because it is a clean brand that means there are no harsh chemicals in it. In fact, this is made with bamboo extract, lactic acid, and niacinamide for gentle physical and chemical exfoliation. After using this product, my skin feels so much smoother and looks so much brighter! I have loved introducing this product into my regimen as an extra special treatment that I use two times a week.
From Wyld Skincare is this French Pink Clay Konjac Sponge. I have never used a konjac sponge before, but have always been intrigued by the level of exfoliation it could provide and how my semi-sensitive skin would react. The good news is my skin LOVES this product! It is not irritated at all and looks very fresh after each use. Not to mention, konjac sponges are a positive substitution for other exfoliating products that come in plastic packaging. Yup, this product doesn’t hurt the planet! In fact, Wyld’s founder, Joy Yap, makes sure they donate a portion of proceeds to Sea Shepard, a marine-life conservation organization.
While all of these products are great, one of my favorite parts is how
I have been throwing around the idea of introducing plants to my space, and if this Macrame Plant Hanger from Altru isn’t a sign I don’t know what is!
I LOVE sleep and I can say since I started using this Bamboo Lyocell Eye Mask from
Patterned scarves are the ‘it’ accessory of the season, and you bet I’m going to be rocking this pink and copper floral silky scarf from Cleobella. Cleobella was started by Angela and Jim O’Brien during a worldwide surf trip (sounds amazing, right?). They desired to celebrate female artisans and cultural goods. So, they employ women and support women through CARE.org, which “works around the globe to save lives, defeat poverty, and achieve social justice.” For Spring 2019, in partnership with
Lastly, but certainly not least is this gorgeous vegan leather portfolio c
